CityFoodStudio has over 3000 square feet of commercial food production space, set up to flexibly accommodate multiple users prepping, cooking, baking, or canning. We even have a separate room for dairy processing. Available equipment includes a commercial range, ovens, mixers of various sizes, refrigeration, stainless steel and maple tables, as well as a full array of smallwares. More specialized equipment (looking forward to the stone-hearth oven!) will be added as needs arise and the kitchen grows.
A small retail space connects CityFoodStudio artisans with buyers and eaters. In addition, the entire kitchen can be reconfigured to accommodate intimate cooking classes or to host private food/art oriented events.

The cost of using the CityFoodStudio kitchen varies based on length of commitment and frequency of use. The details will be listed in the contract (available soon), but expect to pay hourly rates from as low as $12 for full time usage up to $25 for an ad-hoc schedule, or check out the detailed rate sheet: CFS Rate Sheet.
To cook in the CityFoodStudio kitchen you will need to get:
- licensed by the City of Minneapolis or MN Dept. of Agriculture
- a MN CertifiedFood Manager
- liability insurance
